Hi: I'm looking to purchase my first Integrated Amplifier and have been looking at used Harmon Kardon, NAD, Sansui, Pioneer, ect. amps (less than 0 price range) and came across a Luxman Hybrid LV-103. I've read some generally favourable reviews, however, a common theme seems to be that it's lacking in bass response. I got my Luxman LV-103 about 2 months ago, did some clean up, replaced the tubes and it sounds amazing, even without a recap, which will be done soon. Instrument separation, deep soundstage and insanely clean noise floor even with very low impedance headphones continuously blow my mind..ALPINE/LUXMAN LV-103u. This pre-main amplifier has been improved while taking over the concept of the LV 103. Like the LV 103, it is a hybrid configuration of a vacuum tube and MOS-FET.
